The Taranaki Falls are 1 hour into a 2 hour easy loop walk in the Tongariro National park in-between the mountains Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe. On a warm sunny spring day, with the falls fed by new snow melt they put on a rather impressive display. I think the photographic conditions would be even better either just after sunrise or just before sunset.
